Introduction
Since I've been seeing some new and interesting new food items at The House of Poke in Old Bridge, New Jersey, I decided to stop in again to try them out for myself. It's been a few months since I've been here and their business seems to now be on cruise control.
This trip, certainly, did not disappoint. As before, their flavors are spot on and their creativity seems to take their menu to a whole new level. Kudos to you guys!

I feel like it's been a while right since we've logged.
Actually it has it's been a while so we're gonna change that today, let's go to it's about a lunch to late lunch, but it's lunch still lunch time and I'm gonna bring you back to a familiar place because they seem to have a lot of new items on the menu so yeah.
Let's go all right guys.
Here we are again.
This place might be familiar to you guys because we are at the house of poking again.
They seem to have a lot more offerings.
I saw it on their Instagram and we're here and let's see, what's what they have in store the braised pork belly and can I also get the the spices right both John we're here, please that's it for now sushi rice, so guys have been here before, or we've been here before we buddy I was here with my kids and there's some new things menu well, first of all this menus new, but they still have the menus up there.
You can see it the first time I was there.
I was really here for their pokéballs want to try that again, just to see if the quality of the first time we were hearing was good, really really good.
Today, I wanted to try the steamed buns, let's see, but that's it now.
I was gonna.
Try that the 12th they only have miso, ramen, miso, soup and I do not get along well together.
So I'm, not even gonna attempt that also coming back here, it's been a couple of months.
The last time I was here was May or June, something like that and the music seemed to have died down a little bit.
So it's a little bit easier to vlog in here now they have their burritos section over here can also do the build your own, although last time they had the the checkbox sheet, where you could build your own.
That way, you know they've been open for a couple of million a few months, though I think they have it.
They have the ordering down.
Pat, they have ingredients that most popular ingredients of a stone and it's a pretty good selection.
So the last time I was here.
We also tried the well they they gave it to us for three, which is the crispy sushi pizza.
That was really really good.
I, don't think I'm gonna be able to eat that Thank You mr.

So this is the spices right pokeball, so the ingredients are spicy tuna, spicy salmon mango pickled, jalapeno cucumbers, cherry tomato and mommy red cabbage, sriracha, aioli, sesame oil and ginger wasabi tobiko.
That's interesting! Garlic, chips for crunch radish, sprouts, chili flakes and wasabi peas.
Okay, before I dive into this I, think I'm going to wait for the this steamed bun that I ordered I'm gonna make this team bun.
Like my my appetizer, it's interesting.
They also have a tofu ball.
So if you're a vegetarian or a vegan, they just happen.
Instead of having fish, you can have taupe.
So we are also doing it's captured is on Instagram this place.
The house of pokey is very big on Instagram.
They expect you to take pictures.

So you can see the presentation on that is pretty cool histogram that as well my friend.
First of all, this is really really fresh.
The sauce is ponzu, sauce, I, guess sweet.
Even if you open this up this bun, you can tell that somebody took great care in in-depth, shows quality.
Somebody took great care in assembling that so verse 1.
It basically just show us that somebody really cares about their product, making it look nice.
It actually tastes good, because that pork is really really tender as well.
So it was, you can tell it's been braced for a while and everything that I ordered it's around $20 we're just I mean it's not for the quality I think is worth it.
They don't skip on the content, either look pull it.
Pork- and most of this is pork right, yeah.
Obviously, there's the veggies in there there's cucumbers a little bit of cabbage a little bit of green onions, cucumbers and, of course, the sauce and the pork.
But most of that is pork.
It's now attack, although pokeball I, usually order that with vegetables for a salad today opted for rice to feel.
Like rice, don't judge so here's a salmon marriage stolen, very tasty Houston was happy peace differently.
Definitely a lot of crunch in here.
There's the garlic there's a piece.
The contrast is the rice.
So what I opted for is sushi rice, so if you guys have ever had sushi before or ever had sushi before, and you actually taste the rice, it tastes, it should taste a little sour definitely gives it a good kick good.
Spicy kick.
What I really wish is that they should really give the option of fresh jalapenos instead of the ones that are pickled just because it's it 10 it takes away from.
This is just my opinion.
It takes away from the flavor, because it's very strong when you you know when you have something pickled in there, because everything else is not right.
Everything else is fresh well.
This is kind of it's not pickled, but it's wasabi, there's particular taste like wasabi I.
Just wish there was an option for fresh jalapenos.
Probably, as I should ask the other side, we have my rose mangos, it's kind of the flavor kind of marries, all of it right and then you get the pickled jalapenos I'm, sorry, I'm being a stickler, I know, but I don't think pickled jalapeno goes well, but that's again, that's just me because it salty too a little longer than a few minutes later.
Alright guys another epic meal, epic lunch.
Oh my god, I'm stuffed yeah.
Definitely a lot of food for one person, but I have to have to try that buns.
The buns were good, good, fresh, spot-on, flavor.
What else can I ask for nothing? Has a bouquet.
You guys, you guys ronk I'm, not just saying that you know that your food, you know, speaks for itself, it's fresh and you guys are always keeping everything you know moving forward.
Everything is fresh everything.
Is you know your your your menu items? You know change.
Obviously you have the classics, but you also, you know, are very creative again kudos to you guys.
I will definitely be back.
That's my second time.
I still love it.
I got one of your menu, so the next time I plan to come back, I'm I will be ready with my order and I'm going to remember, to ask for hopefully I didn't ask right, but I will be asking for some fresh jalapenos next time, not the pickled ones.
That's my only gripe! It's not a gripe.
It's just my my own thing.
I! Really! Don't you know I, don't like pickled jalapenos, it's not a knock on on your menu at all.
You guys are doing great, so I look forward to being back here in Old, Bridge and I hope you guys.
