NIA arrests eighth key accused in Attari drugs seizure case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested another key accused in the Attari drugs seizure case, taking the total number of arrests to eight, the agency said. According to the agency, the accused, Athar Saeed alias Chacha, had handled the proceeds of the drugs on the directions of the kingpin, Shahid Ahmed. Athar Saeed was arrested on Tuesday after NIA teams searched his premises in Delhi's Darya Ganj area and seized incriminating documents. The documents are being examined by the anti-terror agency to unravel the complete conspiracy behind the massive drugs racket, the NIA said.

On heat wave conditions, IMD scientist Soma Sen said, "...The heat wave is persisting over East India...We are seeing a long spell of severe heat waves over East India. We are expecting this condition to persist for the next three days at least after which we expect a slight reduction...We have given a red alert for Gangetic West Bengal for three days, 2 days for Odisha and overall East India is getting an orange alert for the next 3-5 days...Mainly, from day 5 which is from May 5, we are anticipating a slight fall in temperatures as moisture coming..."
On thunderstorm prediction, she further adds, "From day 4, which is May 4, we are expecting thunderstorm activity...Thunderstorm activity will start increasing mainly from over South Peninsular India and then gradually over Northern parts of Peninsular India including Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh etc...Along with thunderstorms, the severity will more as it is coming after few days..."
