Pedestrian Accident Alert

Harnett County, NC (April 15, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, a serious crash on NC Highway 87 near Brinkley Hill Lane resulted in injuries to two pedestrians. A northbound Toyota passenger car crossed the median, overturned into the southbound lanes, and was struck by a Honda. One pedestrian was airlifted to a trauma center, while the other was transported to Womack Army Hospital. One victim was initially trapped under a vehicle but was freed by a bystander. The driver of the Toyota was arrested following a sobriety test. The investigation by NCSHP is ongoing to determine further details.
